Ranger Quest is live!

Ranger Quest launched. The first version, on Google Play only, for the moment.

The original post opened with a gif of someone falling down a water slide, which was the mood: the game was out, and the polish was not finished. That gif lived on Giphy, so it is not embedded here.

It took nine months of design, development, animation, score, and interface work. Version 1.0.0 was the start, and it was a milestone I am proud of.

What was next

A patch was planned for 7 June 2024 to nerf the Hobgoblin Warchief a little, raise the experience you earn, and add a game-speed control that players had been asking for.

Bigger systems were meant to tie the rest together. Once the game was public, feedback was the point.

iOS?

iOS was still underway. I paused it to put more into the content, and planned to ship a more polished build there later.
