Ranger Quest privacy policy
Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
We are Slakkedis Studio (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “the developer”), an indie game development studio based in Pretoria, South Africa.
We develop the indie mobile game Ranger Quest (“the game”).
This policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and delete your information or data as you download or play Ranger Quest.
2. Information we collect
A. Information we collect ourselves
Ranger Quest does not currently collect any information from you for our own use.
If this ever changes, we will update this policy as well as the Ranger Quest store listings, and notify you via our Discord channel: Slakkedis Studio on Discord.
B. Information you provide
- If you experience an application crash, you may opt to provide us the crash and diagnostic data yourself from the game’s settings menu.
- Information you provide on the official Discord, including your username or any other information.
C. Information collected by third-party services or APIs we use
Ranger Quest uses third-party services (“the Services”) to enable additional features and monetization.
We use Google Play Games Services (“GPGS”) to save your progress and provide you with leaderboards.
GPGS may process your:
- Name and surname
- Email address
- Access to your personal Google Drive
- Username
We also use Google AdMob, a mobile advertising platform that allows us to monetize the game. Google AdMob serves you with in-app advertisements.
Google AdMob may process the following information:
- Your age
- The app store from which you downloaded and installed the game
- The app version
- The country you reside in
- The brand name of the mobile device you play the game on (Apple, Google, Samsung, and so on)
- The device category (tablet, smartphone)
- First open time, the time at which you first opened the game
- Your gender, identifying users as either male or female
- Any interests you’ve provided Google through your accounts
- The language setting on your device operating system (en-us, pt-br, and so on)
- New or established, whether you have opened the app within the last 7 days or more than 7 days ago
- OS version, the version of your device (9.3.2, 5.1.1, and so on)
- Advertising ID, a unique identifier used to target advertisements without collecting otherwise personally identifiable information
We do not process this information ourselves, but it is important that you are aware of how your data is processed directly or indirectly by playing our games.

3. How we use the information
A. Crash and diagnostic data
We use this information to improve the performance and stability of the game.
B. Google Play Games Services
We use GPGS to save your progress across devices and to provide you with leaderboard functionality.
C. Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to provide in-game advertisements that monetize the game.
4. How we share the information
We will only share information under the following circumstances.
A. Compliance and court orders
We may share information in our possession when we believe we have to in order to comply with legal requirements or court orders.
B. Third-party services
As outlined above, by playing Ranger Quest your information will be collected by the Services, and your username will also appear to other players of Ranger Quest on GPGS leaderboards.
5. Your controls and deletion
If you would like any information you’ve sent us yourself to be deleted, please contact us.
Failing particular requests, diagnostic and crash data will be deleted once annually.
Your choices and control over information collected by the Services are subject to those respective policies.
