We’re back with a whole lot of news! We’ve been putting all of our attention into building the new features and addressing community feedback which ment no time for updates. We’re ready to rock your socks off.

Abilities (In testing)

Even though Ranger Quest is mostly an idle/passive game we heard your call for dialing up the engagement and so we struck our development hammer and abilities were forged! There are 16 new abilities available, 4 abilities per class.

Level up your hero so you can gain access to class-specific spells during your expedition. Some of these abilities allow you to slow your enemies, fire multiple projectiles, acquire help from your fellow rangers and many more!

Due to the huge amount of new features, we’re currently in the testing phase with abilities as it greatly affects the balancing of the game. Fret not it will become available with the next update in the next two months. A screenshot of Ranger Quest's abilities and talents screen.

Talents (In testing)

We heard you, Ranger Quest needed more Roguelike elements and so we delivered. Every 7 days, you’ll be able to choose a talent that will affect the gameplay in many different ways. We have new talents ranging from heroic bonuses, passive upgrade bonuses, ability modifiers and many many more.

Each playthrough will be truly unique, and depending on your playstyle can yield very different results. Talents, in combination with items and your new class-based spells will bring an entire new feel to the game. We’re super excited for this one. Just like abilities, it’s currently in the testing phase as we’re working on the balancing.

Quests (In development):

We are introducing daily and weekly quests, we previously built an event system that allows you to keep track of your expedition achievements. We only showed some of them whenever you lost, but now they serve a greater purpose.

Quests will allow you to acquire tokens and experience by slaying pesky goblins, or casting specific spells etc. Our quests are synchronized, so you and your friends should receive very similar quests with the exception of some unachievable quests.

New Bosses (In testing):

We introduced 3 new bosses to the Goblin Glades, they are currently being balanced while simultaneously our first two bosses are being rebalanced. Boss fights should be more engaging now, especially with the combination of projectile alterations, talents and abilities.

iOS (In testing):

Boy oh boy did we work hard on this one, it took us way longer than we expected but we’re so happy we put in the time because man it feels great on the iPad and iOS devices. We never did have proper tablet support, but while we were working on iOS we ended up improving the scaling and UI placement so it works well with most tablets/iPads.

There was a huge rework done to acommodate multiple platforms, and we also brought in support for Cloud Saves, Game Center etc. We’re currently testing the game on iOS and it’s planned for launch along with the rest of the features.

What’s next? When are we getting our updates?

We estimate around 2-3 months of remaining work before we bring these new features to life. It’s a really big update, and there are so many things being reworked/rebalanced. We want to make sure it’s perfect so you can have the ultimate Ranger Questing experience!
